SimBioSys Helps Surgeons Target Breast Cancers

From NVIDIA: 2024-10-31 17:20:00

A new AI-powered technology from SimBioSys creates 3D models of tumors and veins to aid in breast cancer surgeries. Surgeons can manipulate the visualization on screen, gaining valuable insight. The technology, TumorSight, received FDA clearance last year. Nearly 2.3 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer annually worldwide.

SimBioSys’s visualization technology provides surgeons with more detailed data before surgery, aiming to improve outcomes. Using NVIDIA A100 GPUs in the cloud, the company is part of the NVIDIA Inception program. They hope to enhance breast cancer survival rates with AI use cases and innovative techniques for presurgical imaging.

SimBioSys is developing AI strategies to quickly analyze tumor data and provide risk analysis for cancer recurrence. Their technology can generate personalized treatment plans in a matter of hours, exceeding traditional methods in accuracy and efficiency. This new approach offers faster results at a lower cost than current practices.
