Ford Motor will halt production of the F-150 Lightning from mid-November to early next year due to bloated inventories and losses. Sales of the electric vehicle have not met expectations, leading to a reported loss of $5 billion for Ford’s Model e EV operations this year. Ford plans to reduce production of the F-150 Lightning by half this year, emphasizing profitability over volume. The company aims to lower its overall days’ supply of vehicles to meet target ranges.
