Flights between the U.S. and Europe are at a three-year low, with “good deal” fares averaging $578 in November, down from $619 the previous year. U.S. domestic airfare is higher compared to last year, as airlines cut flights and face aircraft scarcity. Airline capacity between the U.S. and Europe is slightly lower this year, but still higher than in 2019. Airlines are discounting flights even more this offseason to attract travelers, offering new off-the-beaten-path destinations like Greenland and Mongolia.
