Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform Max gained 7.2 million subscribers in Q3, totaling 110.5 million. The company’s traditional TV networks faced challenges, with a $9.1 billion write-down last quarter. Revenue decreased by 4% to $9.62 billion, but the streaming business saw an 8% revenue increase to $2.63 billion.

In the streaming industry, Netflix added 5.1 million subscribers in Q3, reaching a total of 282.7 million. Comcast’s Peacock gained 3 million subscribers, totaling 36 million. Disney reported an increase in Disney+ Core subscribers to 118.3 million and Hulu subscribers to 51.1 million.

Paramount Global’s streaming division saw unexpected profits, but lost 2.8 million Paramount+ subscribers due to ending a partnership deal, bringing the total to 68 million. Paramount is set to report quarterly earnings soon.
