U.K. stocks closed lower on Friday, with losses in various sectors dragging shares down. The FTSE 100 lost 0.87% to hit a new 3-month low. International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. and Flutter Entertainment PLC were top gainers, while Vistry Group PLC and Antofagasta PLC were worst performers.

In London, falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the LSE, with 1048 falling, 729 advancing, and 674 remaining unchanged. International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. hit 3-year highs, while Vistry Group PLC hit 52-week lows. Flutter Entertainment PLC reached all-time highs.

Gold futures fell 0.42% to $2,694.55 per troy ounce, while crude oil for December delivery dropped 2.89% to $70.27 a barrel. The US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.65% to 105.05. GBP/USD was down 0.71% at 1.29, while EUR/GBP remained steady at 0.83.
