Rocket Lab’s shares surged in post-market trading following the company’s third-quarter results. Revenue increased to $104.8 million, up 55% from a year ago, with a net loss of $51.9 million. The company forecast fourth-quarter revenue between $125 million and $135 million, with its first customer signing on for two Neutron rocket missions in mid-2026. Rocket Lab’s stock price nearly tripled in the past three months.
The majority of Rocket Lab’s revenue growth in Q3 came from its Space Systems unit, which brought in $83.9 million. The Launch unit contributed $21 million, with the Electron rocket becoming the world’s third-most-frequently launched orbital rocket. The company added $55 million in new launch contracts to Electron’s backlog in Q3. Development of Neutron and Archimedes engines is closely watched, with Neutron expected to debut in mid-2025 to tap into larger markets, including U.S. national security launches.
