Japan stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Nikkei rising 0.45%. Top performers included Japan Steel Works Ltd, up 11.55%, Fujikura Ltd, up 7.17%, and Ebara Corp, up 5.21%. Bandai Namco Holdings Inc, Konica Minolta, Inc, and Astellas Pharma Inc were among the worst performers. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Japan Steel Works Ltd saw shares rise to 5-year highs, up 11.55% to 6,499.00. The Nikkei Volatility Index was down 4.76%. Crude oil prices fell slightly, with Brent oil at $73.28 a barrel and Gold Futures up to $2,626.50 a troy ounce. USD/JPY was down to 154.51, while EUR/JPY fell to 163.59. The US Dollar Index Futures remained steady at 106.19.
