Miata Metals Highlights Puma Target Drilling Plan on Sela
From GlobeNewswire: 2024-11-20 08:00:00
Miata Metals Corp. is set to begin its maiden drill program on the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, with a focus on the high-priority Puma target. The 3D predictive geological model developed by the technical team will guide the 5,000-meter phase 1 diamond drilling program. Major Drilling has been contracted for the project, with mobilization expected in early December.
The Puma gold-mineralized corridor at Sela Creek has been identified through artisanal mining activities, covering a significant area with high-grade gold-in-saprolite soil results. The drilling program will target multiple high-priority zones within this corridor, with a planned depth of approximately 200 meters. A 3D predictive vein model has been created to aid in drill planning.
Miata Metals Corp. plans to drill 2,500 meters at the Puma target to test mineralization at a vertical depth of 200 meters. The Company will also conduct additional drilling at the Golden Hand and Stranger targets as part of the phase 1 Sela Creek program. The drilling targets inferred vein arrays supported by historical and recent data.
In addition to the drilling program, Miata Metals Corp. has granted 25,000 stock options to a consultant, with an exercise price of $0.65 and a two-year expiration date. Half of the options will vest immediately, while the remaining half will vest in six months. The Company continues to evaluate opportunities to acquire interest in new exploration properties.
The scientific and technical information in this news release has been reviewed and approved by Ms. Danae Voormeij, P.Geo., a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101. The Company emphasizes that it does not generate revenues or royalties from surface mining activities. Miata Metals Corp. is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on acquiring, exploring, and developing mineral properties, with interests in projects in Suriname and British Columbia.
