LinkedIn recently laid off around 200 employees from its engineering and customer support departments. This amounts to about 1% of its total workforce, as reported by The Information. The company had previously cut 2000 roles in 2023 to reduce expenses due to slowing revenue and sluggish advertising sales.

Microsoft, the parent company of LinkedIn, has been steadily reducing its workforce over the past two years. In September, the company targeted layoffs at the Xbox gaming division. This latest round of job cuts at LinkedIn is part of a broader trend in the technology sector.
