Australia stocks close higher with ASX 200 reaching all-time high, up 0.28%

Australia stocks closed higher, with the ASX 200 hitting a new all-time high, rising 0.28%. Top gainers included Appen Ltd, Mesoblast Ltd, and Zip Co Ltd. Nanosonics Ltd, Tabcorp Holdings Ltd, and Resolute Mining Ltd were among the worst performers. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange.

The VIX, which measures S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 0.79%. Gold futures fell 1.55% to $2,694.85 per ounce, while crude oil prices also declined. AUD/USD remained unchanged at 0.65, while the US Dollar Index Futures dropped 0.53% to 106.93.
