Taiwan stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Taiex rising 1.55%. Arima Communications Corp and Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co were top gainers, while Lead Data Inc and Mercuries Life Insurance Co declined. Crude oil prices fell, with January delivery down to $70.58 a barrel. USD/TWD was down to 32.44, while the US Dollar Index Futures dropped to 106.95.
