Asian stock markets are trading mostly lower on Friday, reacting to economic data from Japan and South Korea, as well as developments in the Middle East. The Australian stock market is modestly lower, with the S&P/ASX 200 falling to near the 8,400 level. Major miners and tech stocks are mixed, while oil stocks and banks are mostly lower. Gold miners are also experiencing mixed performances. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 is notably lower, with automakers, exporters, and tech stocks seeing weakness. SoftBank Group is slightly up, while Mitsubishi UFJ Financial and Mizuho Financial are gaining in the banking sector. Other Asian markets are also mostly down, except for New Zealand and China, which are up slightly. European markets closed higher on Wednesday.
