Japan stocks closed lower on Friday, with the Nikkei declining 0.52%. Top performers were Chiba Bank Ltd, Furukawa Electric Co., and Dai-ichi Life Holdings Inc. Worst performers included Nissan Motor Co., SUMCO Corp., and DeNA Co Ltd. Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nissan and SUMCO hit 3-year lows. The Nikkei volatility index rose 10.50%. Crude oil and gold prices fluctuated, while USD/JPY and EUR/JPY fell. The US Dollar Index Futures dropped 0.36%.
