Latin American companies are expected to bounce back with a 16% earnings growth in 2025, following a 24% contraction this year, according to JPMorgan calculations. FX depreciation negatively impacted earnings in 2024, but a brighter outlook is predicted for next year, especially in sectors like energy, industrials, and tech.

Brazil and Mexico are forecasted to see earnings growth of about 15% and 14% respectively in 2025. However, the overall regional MSCI index has fallen 25% this year, with Brazil’s and Mexico’s MSCI indexes dropping 27% each in dollar terms. This contrasts with a 5% gain in the broader MSCI emerging market equity index.
