Amazon unveiled new artificial intelligence platforms called foundation models at the AWS conference. The platforms allow for text, image, and video generation. This move puts Amazon in direct competition with Adobe and Meta, who are also aiming to automate services for customers. CEO Andy Jassy introduced the “Nova” models in response to developers’ demands for better latency, lower costs, and fine-tuning capabilities.
