Some Amazon shareholders propose allocating 5% of total assets, $585 billion, to Bitcoin as a reserve due to inflation concerns. Bitcoin’s value has surged 131% in the past year, outperforming corporate bonds by a wide margin. Companies like MicroStrategy have seen stock values rise 500% by holding Bitcoin.

Despite concerns about volatility, adding Bitcoin to Amazon’s treasury could lead to practical uses like accepting it as a payment method. CZ, former Binance CEO, believes Bitcoin’s reliability outweighs transaction confirmation delays. Amazon adopting Bitcoin could position the company as a leader in the corporate cryptocurrency landscape.
