Newcore Gold Ltd. announced positive results from metallurgical tests at Enchi Gold Project, Ghana, achieving an average gold recovery of 93.0% from column tests on samples from Sewum and Boin deposits. Further exploration work is ongoing to de-risk the project and prove district-scale potential.
The column tests showed an average gold recovery of 93.0% with a range of 82.6% to 97.2%. Testing focused on oxide mineralization from Sewum and Boin deposits, with samples averaging 0.56 g/t Au. Low reagent consumption was highlighted with an average of 1.63 kg/t cyanide used.
Metallurgical testing at Enchi Gold Project demonstrated high gold recoveries amenable to heap leaching. The samples had low cyanide consumption and were tested with a percolation rate of 10L/m²/hr. Additional testing is planned to optimize recovery parameters for oxide, transitional, and sulphide mineralization.
A 10,000-metre reverse circulation drill program is ongoing at Enchi to target near-surface mineralization. The program aims to improve the confidence of the existing Mineral Resource Estimate and outline resource growth potential. The Enchi work program also includes drone surveys, trenching, and environmental testing to advance project development.
The Enchi Gold Project hosts an Indicated Mineral Resource of 41.7 million tonnes grading 0.55 g/t Au containing 743,500 ounces gold, with an Inferred Resource of 46.6 million tonnes grading 0.65 g/t Au containing 972,000 ounces. Newcore Gold is committed to best practice standards for exploration and drilling activities to ensure accurate results for shareholders and investors.
