Alphabet’s president, Ruth Porat, emphasized the importance of AI investments, citing a “generational opportunity.” The company plans to spend $50 billion on chips, data centers, and other capital expenses by 2024. Despite these investments, Alphabet remains focused on generating returns and ensuring the success of its AI initiatives.
