Japan stocks closed lower on Monday, with losses in technology and healthcare sectors. The Nikkei 225 lost 0.07%. Top performers were Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co Ltd, Furukawa Electric Co., and DeNA Co Ltd. Worst performers included Yamato Holdings Co., Odakyu Electric Railway Co., and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones. Furukawa Electric Co., and DeNA Co Ltd reached 5-year highs. The Nikkei Volatility Index was down 1.55%. Crude oil prices fell, with January delivery down to $70.47 a barrel. USD/JPY was down to 153.59, while EUR/JPY rose to 161.48. The US Dollar Index Futures was down to 106.55.
