Ripple is launching its stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), after approval from the New York State Department of Financial Services. RLUSD will be available for trading on select exchanges, excluding Coinbase and Robinhood initially. The stablecoin will be issued on the Ethereum and XRP Ledger to improve cross-border payment efficiency and reduce costs. Ripple’s focus on stablecoins aligns with the growing importance of digital assets in global transactions.
