Nucor Corporation anticipates fourth-quarter earnings of $0.55 to $0.65 per share, a decrease from the previous quarter. The company attributes this decline to lower volumes and average selling prices in its steel mills segment. Earnings in the steel products segment are also expected to decrease due to similar factors. Analysts had predicted earnings of $0.87 per share for the fourth quarter. Nucor reported net earnings of $1.05 per diluted share in the third quarter of 2024 and $3.16 per diluted share in the fourth quarter of 2023.
