Foxconn is reportedly considering acquiring Nissan to bolster its electric vehicle business, leveraging Nissan’s expertise in car hardware manufacturing and design. Former Nissan executive Jun Seki, now head of Foxconn’s EV division, has been facilitating communication between the companies. Nissan and Honda are also in talks for potential collaborations or a merger. Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, aims to use its contract manufacturing experience to make a mark in the EV market, similar to its production of Apple and Sony products.
