Indian shares continue to drop amid concerns over Trump's policies, Sensex down 292 points.

Indian shares opened lower for the fifth consecutive day as concerns over President-elect Donald Trump’s policies weighed on the market. The Sensex was down 292 points, while the Nifty fell 67 points. Larsen & Toubro, UltraTech Cement, JSW Steel, Tech Mahindra, and Axis Bank were among the decliners. Acme Solar rose 2% after commissioning a 1,023 MW solar project. Tata Consumer Products denied reports of Starbucks exiting India and rose 1%. Amara Raja Energy & Mobility gained 0.5% on a deal with Hyundai. Indian Oil Corp plans to invest Rs 21,000 crore in a Bihar refinery. SpiceJet declined 2% after settling a dispute with Genesis over dues.
