Taiwan’s Foxconn pauses interest in Nissan as Japanese automaker explores merger with Honda. Foxconn sent delegation to meet Renault in France. Nissan, Foxconn, and Renault did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Foxconn approached Nissan about bid but was rejected. Foxconn still considering bid depending on Honda-Nissan merger progress. Honda-Nissan merger would create $54 billion company producing 7.4 million vehicles annually, ranking third globally.
