Amgen is performing well, while Microsoft is struggling in early trading.

Amgen leads as the best performing Dow Jones component, up 1.9% in early trading, but down 7.6% year to date. On the flip side, Microsoft is the worst performer, down 1.4% today but up 14.5% year to date. Amazon.com is down 1.2% and Goldman Sachs is up 1.4% on the day.
