Tesla is recalling over 694,000 vehicles in the US due to a TPMS issue where the warning light may not illuminate for low tire pressure, posing a crash risk. The problem will be fixed with a software update. Despite high recall numbers, most issues are resolved through over-the-air updates.
In the September quarter, Tesla recalled nearly 1.9 million vehicles in the US, the most of any automaker, all fixable through software updates. The company also recalled 2,400 Cybertruck units in November due to a faulty part causing power loss and crash risk, marking the sixth recall for the electric pickup truck this year.
