BNP Paribas Cardif has officially signed an agreement to acquire AXA Investment Managers for a price of 5.1 billion euros. The acquisition is expected to close in mid-2025, with an anticipated impact on BNP Paribas’ CET1 ratio of 25 basis points. This agreement follows exclusive negotiations that began on August 1 between AXA and BNP Paribas Cardif. Renaud Dumora, President of BNP Paribas Cardif, expressed the significance of this partnership and the ongoing efforts to integrate AXA IM’s employees and clients into the BNP Paribas group.
