Indian stock indices rise slightly, some individual stocks gain, others lose

Indian shares were slightly up with the Sensex rising 0.1 percent and Nifty up 0.2 percent. Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, SBI Life, and BPCL saw gains while TCS, Asian Paints, Cipla, Tech Mahindra, and Trent faced losses. NTPC Green Energy shares dropped 5.3 percent post lock-in period expiry. India Cements edged up as N Srinivasan stepped down. Ola Electric Mobility surged with 4,000 stores nationwide. Indian Oil Corporation rose 0.5 percent on plans to invest Rs 61,000 crore in a naphtha cracker project in Odisha.
