Indian shares ended flat after a holiday, with the Sensex closing at 78,472.48 and the Nifty at 23,750.20. Adani Group companies surged, led by Adani Ports, while Shriram Finance and Maruti Suzuki also rose. Intellect Design Arena and Mobikwik saw gains, but NTPC Green Energy shares slumped. Globally, markets in Europe and Asia were closed for Boxing Day. Mazagon Dock shares snapped a losing streak, and major markets around the world were closed for the holiday.
