Japan stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Nikkei up 1.77% to a 3-month high. Top gainers were DeNA Co Ltd up 15.58%, Nidec Corp up 4.14%, and Advantest Corp up 3.87%. Nissan Motor Co. was the biggest loser, down 7.82%. DeNA Co Ltd hit a 5-year high. The Nikkei volatility index rose 14.91%. Crude oil prices dipped slightly, while the US Dollar Index was up 0.06%.
