U.K. stocks close higher with some sectors leading gains, while others perform poorly

U.K. stocks closed higher on Friday, with sectors like Vistry Group PLC and Centrica PLC leading the gains. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.09% at the close in London. However, Next PLC and Pershing Square Holdings Ltd were among the worst performers of the session.

Gold Futures for February delivery decreased by 0.89% to $2,630.36 per troy ounce, while Crude oil for February delivery increased by 0.83% to $70.20 a barrel. The GBP/USD was steady at 1.26, and the US Dollar Index Futures fell by 0.03% to 107.86.
