Indonesia stocks closed higher on Monday, with gains in healthcare, consumer goods, and industrial sectors. The Jakarta Composite Index rose by 0.25%. Top performers included Multi Medika Internasional PT Tbk and Wahana Pronatural, while Ulima Nitra PT and Graha Andrasentra Propertindo Tbk PT were among the worst performers.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, with Mulia Boga Raya PT hitting 3-year lows but rising by 25%. Crude oil prices fell slightly, with February delivery at $70.44 a barrel, while gold futures also declined to $2,627.09 a troy ounce.
In currency trading, USD/IDR fell by 0.56% to 16,138.90, and AUD/IDR dropped by 0.09% to 10,050.35. The US Dollar Index Futures was up by 0.05% at 107.85.
