Cheniere Energy produces first LNG from new Texas facility, making U.S. the largest LNG exporter. The Corpus Christi plant can produce 10 mtpa, with Train 1 capable of 1.5 mtpa. Completion for Stage 3 expansion at 75.9%, with expected substantial completion by March 30. Cheniere shares rose slightly to $211.32.
Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines export plant in Louisiana sends first LNG cargo to Germany. The plant is increasing gas usage, pulling over 600 mmcf per day and expected to pull 527 mmcf on Monday. The U.S. is set to remain the top LNG exporter in 2025 with new facilities coming online.
