European stocks drift lower due to global sell-off and weak Asian cues

European stocks were down in thin holiday trade, following a sell-off on Wall Street and weak cues from Asia. Major markets are operating half-days, with Germany, Italy, and Switzerland closed. China’s factory activity slowed in December due to trade risks. STOXX 600 fell 0.4%, while CAC 40 and FTSE 100 were stable. Wizz Air Holdings rose after a commercial support deal with Pratt & Whitney. Bunzl started a share buyback program, causing its stock to drop. Kistos Holdings increased 1.2% after appointing a new CFO.
