Noble Corporation plc secures new contract for Ocean Apex drilling rig in Australia

Noble Corporation plc has secured a new contract for its semi-submersible drilling rig Ocean Apex in Australia. The rig will work offshore Australia for an undisclosed client, extending its stay in the region. The 37-day drilling assignment is expected to take place between the second and third quarter of 2025.
Ocean Apex is currently under contract with Santos until May 2025, then moving to work with Chevron until July 2025. The rig, built in 2014, has a maximum drilling depth of 30,000 feet underwater and can accommodate up to 140 people.
Additionally, Noble Corporation plc has won another drilling contract in Suriname with Petronas using its semi-submersible rig Noble Developer. The contract involves drilling three wells offshore Suriname, with Noble Developer operating in water depths of approximately 10,000 feet.
