China’s Geely Holding Group aims to sell over 5 million vehicles annually by 2027, a 79% increase from 2023 when it sold 2.79 million units. The group sold 3 million vehicles in the first 11 months of 2024, a 31% growth compared to 2023. To achieve this, Geely will consolidate brands and focus on key technologies.
Geely plans to consolidate passenger car brands into two units – Geely Auto and Zeekr Technology – targeting mass market and premium segments. The group will align research and development efforts in key areas like smart driving and batteries. This move comes after strategic restructuring in September and a merger with Lynk & Co in November.
