US investigating 2.6 million Teslas for issues related to "Smart Summon" feature

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating 2.6 million Tesla vehicles for issues related to the “Actually Smart Summon” feature. This follows a previous probe into 2.4 million Teslas with the Full Self-Driving software after four reported collisions, including a fatal crash in 2023. The feature allows users to remotely move their vehicle using a smartphone app.
