Google announced at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show its plan to introduce artificial intelligence to Google TV for a more personalized customer experience. Users can have natural conversations with their TV, ask questions about various topics, and control smart home devices with voice commands.

Gemini, the AI on Google TV, will provide answers to user queries with visual content from YouTube, improving search capabilities. A new on-screen hub will display personalized widgets, like news and weather, based on user proximity. These features will roll out later this year on select Google TV devices.
