KKR and PSP Investments have agreed to acquire a 19.9% interest in AEP’s Ohio and Indiana & Michigan transmission companies for $2.82 billion. A 50/50 partnership has been formed between KKR and PSP Investments for this acquisition. AEP will continue to be the majority owner and operator of the transmission assets after the transaction closes. KKR is funding the investment from its core infrastructure strategy.
