The European Commission is assessing cases against Apple, Google, and Meta under the Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act. President-elect Trump’s impending arrival in the White House will not affect enforcement of laws on big tech. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg criticized Europe for “institutionalizing censorship.” The Commission is not reviewing investigations, but will assess maturity, resources, and readiness of cases. Cases are still at a technical level, decisions pending.
