Voltalia is constructing a 19.7-megawatt solar project in Colombia to serve private sector buyers

Voltalia, a renewable energy company, is starting construction on a 19.7-megawatt solar project in Colombia. The project, named Los Venados, will have over 33,000 solar panels and is backed by a 15-year contract. It will serve private sector buyers and cover the electricity consumption of over 40,000 people, reducing CO2 emissions by 23,000 tons per year. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2026. Voltalia has been active in Colombia since 2019 with a pipeline of over 350 megawatts, reflecting the country’s growing interest in renewable energy.
