Vianode signs multi-billion dollar supply agreement with GM for EV battery-grade anode graphite

Vianode has signed a multi-billion dollar supply agreement with GM for EV battery-grade anode graphite, aiming to supply advanced materials to 3 million EVs per year by 2030. The agreement includes the development of large-scale manufacturing capacity and supply of synthetic anode graphite starting in 2027, with production to continue until 2033. The high-performance anode graphite will be shipped from Vianode’s North American plant to Ultium Cells LLC, GM’s battery cell manufacturing joint venture with LG Energy Solution, for use in next-generation EV batteries.
