Brazil stocks lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 1.15% By Investing.com

Brazil stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the Bovespa down 1.15%. Top gainers included Azul SA Pref, up 3.63%, while Sao Martinho SA fell 8.07%. The B3 Stock Exchange saw more falling stocks than rising ones, with Sao Martinho hitting a 52-week low and Embraer reaching all-time highs. The volatility index rose 5.47%.

In commodities, Gold Futures rose 1.01% to $2,745.30 per ounce, while Crude oil fell 1.14% to $77.81 per barrel. Coffee also dropped. The USD/BRL and EUR/BRL exchange rates increased, with the US Dollar Index Futures down slightly at 108.81.
