President Trump wasted no time in issuing orders to boost U.S. oil and gas production, declaring a national energy emergency to ease environmental restrictions and permitting for new projects. He also ordered the resumption of LNG export permits, withdrew from the Paris climate deal, suspended offshore wind leasing, revoked EV targets, and repealed Biden’s efforts to block oil drilling. Trump also plans to refill the strategic reserves.
