Australia stocks closed higher with the ASX rising by 0.66% to reach a new 1-month high. Hub24 Ltd, Kogan.com Ltd, and Zip Co Ltd were top gainers, while Omni Bridgeway Ltd, Tabcorp Holdings Ltd, and Skycity Entertainment Group Ltd were the top losers. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange.
The implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options decreased by 1.76% to 10.61. Gold Futures for February delivery rose by 0.48% to $2,744.97 a troy ounce. Crude oil for delivery in March increased by 0.50% to $76.77 a barrel, while March Brent oil contract dropped by 0.12% to $80.05 a barrel.
Currency exchange rates saw AUD/USD remain unchanged at 0.62, while AUD/JPY fell by 0.74% to 96.88. The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.29% to 108.19.
