Sony Group Corp. has appointed Hiroki Totoki as its new CEO, effective April 1. Totoki will take over from Kenichiro Yoshida, who will remain Chairman. The company is implementing a new management structure to support long-term growth. Lin Tao has been named CFO. Totoki, who has been with Sony since 1985, currently holds multiple positions and will now serve as Director, President, and CEO. Toshimoto Mitomo will also take on a new role. The heads of Sony’s major businesses will now be known as “Business CEOs.” Sony shares in Tokyo rose 3.78 percent to 3,484.00 yen.
