Indonesia stock market closes higher on Friday, but expected to open lower on Monday

The Indonesia stock market ended higher on Friday, with the Jakarta Composite Index gaining 0.50 percent to close at 7,109.20. This came after a three-day losing streak, but the market is expected to open lower on Monday due to concerns over U.S. tariffs. The gains were led by food and financial shares, while resource stocks declined. President Trump’s threatened tariffs on major trading partners caused a late slide in U.S. markets on Friday, with the Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 all finishing in the red. Oil prices also fell as uncertainty over tariff implementation and a stronger dollar weighed on the market.
