Amazon is set to surpass Walmart in revenue, reporting $187 billion compared to Walmart’s projected $180 billion. Despite this, Walmart remains the world’s biggest retailer with over $600 billion in annual sales. Amazon’s success is attributed to its cloud business, Amazon Web Services, and the shift to online shopping during the pandemic.

Apple, Walmart, and Amazon are among the few companies to reach $100 billion in revenue in a quarter. UnitedHealth recently joined this exclusive club, with CVS Health and McKesson close behind. Amazon’s expected revenue for 2024 is around $638 billion, a significant milestone for the e-commerce giant.
