DTE Energy has partnered with over 120 organizations to expand energy assistance in Michigan. Governor Whitmer praised bipartisan efforts to provide energy assistance to 330,000 families. New laws will increase MEAP funding to $100 million over five years, raise eligibility to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, and allocate funds based on residence. The bills will go into effect on October 1, 2025. The Coalition to Keep Michigan Warm celebrated this legislative victory alongside government officials and community leaders.
