Skechers U.S.A. (NYSE:SKX) shares dropped over 10% today after disappointing Q4 earnings and a weak 2025 outlook. Q4 earnings per share of $0.65 missed estimates of $0.74, with revenue at $2.21 billion below expectations. 2025 earnings per share forecasted at $4.30-$4.50, falling short of Wall Street’s $4.85 projection, with revenue at $9.7-$9.8 billion missing consensus.

Despite record annual sales of $8.97 billion in 2024, Skechers’ cautious 2025 outlook led to a negative investor reaction. Q4 wholesale sales surged 17.5% to $1.13 billion, direct-to-consumer revenue climbed 8.4% to $1.08 billion, and gross margin improved to 53.3%.

While benefiting from strong global demand and effective marketing, Skechers’ tempered 2025 outlook raises concerns for potential challenges ahead, impacting investor sentiment.
